For this third Blog I had a hard time looking up stuff about Tom and his Travel history. I did, however, find some interesting things about some press releases and the bills he has sponsored.
Focusing on some of the things I found out about his press releases I went to Tom Udall's homepage. This is where I read up on most of the information about his activity. His homepage does a good job making the information clear. In his most recent press statement Sen. Udall said this about the American Family Economic Protection Act.

"The Senate missed an opportunity this afternoon to avert the sequester with a balanced approach that included spending restraint and a fairer tax system with fewer loopholes.

"When the sequester kicks in tomorrow our economy will not fall off a cliff, but we will begin tumbling down a hill with damaging consequences for middle-class families and small businesses. It has already had a chilling effect on New Mexico's economy where the federal government employs people at our labs, on public lands, at military bases and more. I remain committed to finding common ground to stop these arbitrary across-the-board cuts from going into full effect and further hurting our state." http://www.tomudall.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=1230

I found this interesting because he speaks very strongly about the lower and middle class. This also shows up in some of the bills he has sponsored as well. He seems very connected and opinionated about how small businesses and low/middle classes are represented in the country. Because of his very loud voice and strong opinion some others have noticed as well. Doing a little reading I found an interesting article by the National Journal. I found this article on huffingtonpost.com and I chose it because helped me find up to date information about Sen. Udall. In this article the National Journal ranks and awards Representatives and Senators for their activity in the congressional year. The National Journal voted and awarded both Sen. Tom Udall and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) for the most Liberal Senator. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/21/national-journal-rankings_n_2736041.html
Going right along with Sen. Udall strong personality, as seen by his award winning "Liberal" performance, the bills he is involved mainly involve small business and the lower/middle class populations. I went to thomas.loc.gov to look up all of Sen. Udall's bill history and found it a very helpful site to let me look through not only what bills he sponsored, but also what the bills were about and what their main focus was. http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery
